PRO-Keds will reintroduce the Royal Master DK to the U.S. market after being a Japan exclusive for a period of time, and combined with J.Crew’s sublime grasp of Americana fashion, the resultant effort is one of the cleanest sneaker releases of the year, arriving at the season that demands casual appeal without compromising distinct style (a formula that PRO-Keds hasn’t missed for decades). Ronnie Fieg’s retail output with Asics has stayed pretty close to the Gel-equipped lineup of sneakers, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t put his hands on some other tiger striped models during his time in the footwear business.
